About Me
Welcome to my corner of the mental health world! I'm Allie, and I hated writing this bio as much as you hate reading it. It is very important to me to think of therapy as a relationship between two humans not the “one who has the answers” and the “one who has problems.” My therapist self is almost identical to my every day self- showing up as my authentic self is paramount for me because why would I ask you to show up authentically if I am not doing the same?
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) offering telehealth therapy in North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. I’m passionate about supporting individuals through life’s messy, beautiful, and overwhelming seasons—whether it’s navigating the ups and downs of pregnancy and motherhood, adjusting to major life transitions, managing anxiety, or holding space for therapists and helping professionals who give so much to others but struggle to care for themselves.
My approach is grounded in parts work, a compassionate framework for exploring the different “parts” of yourself. Instead of only focusing on coping skills, parts work helps you notice the inner emotions, thoughts, and patterns that show up, so you can create more balance, clarity, and harmony within yourself. This perspective can be especially powerful during motherhood and other life transitions, when conflicting emotions and inner voices often pull in different directions.
I believe we all carry inner wisdom and strength, but life’s pressures and past experiences can make that hard to access. Together, we’ll uncover the strengths you already have, reconnect you with your sense of self, and create space for healing, growth, and balance—even amidst the chaos of daily life.
Now, a bit about me outside the therapist's chair. When I'm not therapist-ing, you'll find me spending quality time with my family, baking and eating bread, being outdoors, and playing with my dogs, Elphie and Lula.
For those curious about my background, I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice in 2015 from Western Carolina University. From there, I began the Master's of Social Work program at the same university and graduated in 2018.
